Best Institute of Legal Studies in Himachal Pradesh Indian Institute of Legal Studies

Indian Institute of Education was established in 2002. Foundation stone of the Institute was laid by Pt.Shaligram Ji, a Recipient of President Award in the State Award in the field of Education. Presently Institute is of 15km from Main Bus Stand, Shimla and 1km from Ghanahatti adorned by the beautiful and picturesque hillocks of erstwhile estate of Dhami and Keonthal. Initially the intake was of 100 girls in B.Ed Course & in the year 2007 additional 100 seats were added. New courses namely J.B.T, B.B.A, B.C.A were also started in year 2007. During the year 2009 B.Sc. honours, Biotechnology, B.Sc. honours in Microbiology and three years L.LB have also been started in Institute.

B.A. LL.B (5 Years)

B.A. LL.B. course is affiliated to H.P. University Shimla and approved by Bar Council of India in the year 2015. The Institute has been allotted 60 seats per semester for the course.

Eligibility :

Plus two in Arts, Science and Commerce from a recognized board. Minimum marks criteria is 50% marks for General category and 45% marks SC/ST. (However the eligibility criteria for admission as per H.P. University norms.)

Course Duration :

Five years B.A. LL.B.course(5 YEARS Integrated Degree Course).

LL.B (3 Years)

LL.B Course is a three year Course Split over six semester. The Institute has been allotted 60 Seats per semester for the course.

Eligibility :

  1. Bachelor’s Degree In any Stream (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc)
  2. Established by law in India with at least 45% marks general and 40%  marks for SC/ST.
  3. In Service Candidates must apply through proper Channel  along with the certificate of leave from his employer for the  certificate (NOC) and other related documents, Such as appointment latter and leave certificate from the employer/ Competent authority must be submitted. (However) the eligibility criteria for admission as per H.P. University norms).
